Frequently asked questions
How do reminders work?
Bill Pal schedules reminders on each iPhone. In Bill Pal, open Settings, then Reminders to choose how many days ahead you want a prompt and what time it should appear. Paid bills do not trigger reminders.
If reminders do not appear, open the iPhone Settings app, choose Notifications, then Bill Pal, and make sure notifications are allowed.
How do I share bills with my household?
- Open Settings in Bill Pal.
- Choose Family, then tap Share with my family.
- Send the six-character household code to the person you want to invite.
- They open Bill Pal, go to Settings, then Family, and enter the code.
Anyone with the code can join, so treat it like a house key. The household owner can remove members and choose whether they may change bills or only view them.
What happens when I join someone else’s household?
Joining replaces the bill list on that phone with the shared household list. Export your current bills first if you want to keep a copy.
How do I import or export bills?
Open Settings, then Import or export bills. Bill Pal can read a CSV, pasted text, or a Bill Pal backup. Review the detected columns and selected bills before importing. Export creates a CSV you can save or share from your iPhone.
Does Bill Pal connect to my bank or pay bills?
No. Bill Pal does not connect to banks, show live balances, or make payments. Account names in the app are nicknames only. Never enter a full card or bank account number.
How do I stop household sharing?
Open Settings, then Family, and choose Stop syncing on this phone. This removes that phone from the shared household. It does not delete the household for everyone else.
How do I delete my data?
Open Settings, choose your name, then choose Delete all household data. If sharing is on, the household owner can use this option to clear the shared copy for everyone. You can also delete the app to remove the local copy from your phone.
To ask Boro Digital to remove a shared household, email trey.surles@borodigital.com and include the household code.
